We opened July 17th in The Lighthouse Dinner Theater at Copake Lake in upstate New York for just two weekends and promptly sold out. The show was extended three times and ran for 11 weeks! The audience response and the reviews have been most gratifying. And now the show has been optioned for a production is Las Vegas to open in 2010! Keep your fingers crossed! I've recorded an album of piano music. The wonderfully talented artist SUSAN RIOS approached me with a new idea. She sells a lot of her paintings at galleries all over the world where people gather to socialize and buy art. "There is always piano music playing in the background. Why shouldn't it be ours?" What resulted was a very sweet CD called "Our Love Is Here To Stay" that features some of my all-time favorite songs. Susan's art is featured on the cover. |

"WHEN QUEENS COLLIDE"

This was a hoot! I'm writing the music for a documentary called "Queens Of Drag" that chronicles of lives of drag performers in and out of costume with lots of comments by lots of celebrities. IT'S GOING INTO ITS FINAL EDIT. The producers of this epic have some amazingly revealing interviews and comments, but they needed live performances to add to their film. With some notable exceptions - Jim Bailey, Coco Peru, Jackie Beat - drag queens don't usually work in places with decent lights and sound! So we put on our own show for charity, filmed it with multiple cameras, and got gold! I recorded all the tracks the girls performed to and ten of the songs were mine as well. At the Friday night performance, I spent the time backstage. I've got stories! |
